The Problem

The client needed additional space to accomodate their growing family but did not want the cost or disruption of moving home as they loved the area they lived. Their property had a conservatory and side extension (originally a garage) and they wanted to find out how they could increase their footprint, create another bedroom and create an open plan living space that flowed into the rear garden.

Our Solution

We carried out a full survey on the existing property, producing drawings of the existing structure followed by a solution to extend upstairs.

The proposal was carefully designed to integrate seamlessly with the existing home while meeting all local authority guidelines. Planning was approved on the first submission, allowing the client to proceed quickly.

In addition to the design and planning service, DWG Plans Ltd supported the client further by recommending trusted local builders and providing contacts for structural engineers to prepare RSJ calculations and building regulation and construction drawings.
